End or reopen an appeal.

End an appeal when it's finished, so visitors stop seeing it. The money already given stays in your account, and you can reopen the appeal later.

Steps

1. 1

   In the sidebar, under Content, click Donations.

   Click the appeal in the list.

   Click End appeal, next to Save changes. It ends straight away.

   TipEnd appeal shows on a live appeal. A draft isn't shown to visitors, so there's nothing to end.

   To reopen it later, open the appeal and click Reopen as draft.

   Make any changes, then switch on Live. It saves straight away.

   

Good to know

• To take an appeal down for a while without ending it, switch Live off. It saves straight away.
• Before anyone has donated, you can also click Delete appeal. A box asks you to type the appeal's name to confirm, because deleting can't be undone. Any money already given stays in your Stripe account. An appeal people have given to can only be ended, not deleted.
• An ended appeal can't be changed until you reopen it.
• If you set an Ends date, the appeal stops showing after that date by itself. If you chose Stop asking, and say thank you, it also stops once the goal is reached.
