Choose what a screen shows.
Each screen shows one exhibit. You choose which exhibit, how the screen lays it out, and how big the words are. The exhibit screen and each animal's page have their own settings.
Steps
-
In the sidebar, under Content, click Live Labels.
-
In the screen's row, click Edit.
-
To show a different exhibit, choose it under Shows. The number in brackets is how many animals it will show.
-
Under Settings for, make sure Exhibit screen is chosen, then pick a Layout: Field guide, Spotlight or Attract loop.
TipField guide shows every animal in the exhibit. Spotlight shows one animal at a time, large, which suits screens nobody can touch. Attract loop shows a big fact and a photo to draw people over.
-
Choose a Text size: Close up, Standard or Across the room, and tick what goes On each card: Latin name, Red List status and Size.
-
Click Animal page to set up the page that opens when someone taps an animal. Choose its Layout (Side by side, Photo on top or Full photo) and its Text size.
-
Check the Live preview, then click Save screen.
Good to know
- Saved changes reach the screen within a minute. You don't need to touch the screen itself.
- Bigger text shows fewer animals at once. On the animal page, Close up adds the full description and the other animals in the exhibit, Standard shows the key facts and one "Did you know?", and Across the room shows just the name, status and one big fact.
- Photo on top suits portrait screens. Full photo fills the screen with the photo and puts the words on a solid card.
- To take one animal off a screen, hide it in Exhibits & Objects. Hidden animals leave your wall screens and your visitor guide together.
- What's that fish? is marked Soon: it isn't available yet.
