The first-visit welcome screen.
The first time a visitor opens your guide's start page on their phone, three short welcome screens explain how the guide works. They show once on each phone, in your colours and with your logo.
Steps
-
Welcome to your venue: “Your visit just got more interesting. Meet the animals with your phone, no app needed.” Visitors tap Show me how, or Get Started to go straight in.
-
How it works: find a sign next to any exhibit, scan it with your phone camera, and meet the animals who live there. Visitors tap What do I get?.
-
Collect as you go: “Every animal you meet joins your collection. Find them all before you leave!” Scan your first sign opens the phone's camera to scan a QR code. Get Started closes the screens.
Good to know
- Skip at the top closes the welcome screens at any point.
- The welcome screens are on your guide's start page, get-curio.us/ followed by your site number and /get-started.html. Visitors reach it by tapping your logo at the top of the guide, or from a link you share. Scanning an exhibit's QR code goes straight to that exhibit and doesn't show them.
- Once seen or skipped, they don't show again on that phone. Visitors can see them again by tapping How does this work? on the start page.
- When a visitor comes back, the start page says “Welcome back to” your venue instead.
- The screens are shown in the visitor's language if you've turned that language on.
