Save as a draft and publish later.
Not finished yet? Save an animal as a draft. It's kept safely in Curious but hidden from visitors until you publish it.
Steps
-
In the sidebar, under Content, click Exhibits & Objects.
-
Click the row of the exhibit it belongs in.
-
Below the list, click + Add New Object.
-
In Object Type, choose Animal or Species.
-
Fill in what you have so far.
-
Click Save as draft. It's saved, and Hide from visitors is ticked for you.
-
When it's ready, open the exhibit and click the animal's name. In the list, a draft shows as Hidden in the Visibility column.
-
Finish the fact file, then click Save & publish. Visitors can see it now.
Another way
- To publish a draft without opening it, choose Visible in its Visibility column.
Good to know
- Save as draft on an animal visitors can already see takes it off your guide until you publish it again, so Curious asks first. Click Save as draft and hide to go ahead, or Keep it showing to leave it as it is without saving.
- If you tick or untick Hide from visitors yourself, your choice wins over either button.
- A draft is saved to Curious, so you or a colleague can finish it on any computer.
- If your guide has other languages, a draft isn't translated until you publish it.
