Get back edits you didn't save.
While you edit an animal, Curious keeps a copy of your changes in this browser. If the page closed or you left without saving, you can usually get them back.
Steps
-
On the same computer and browser, in the sidebar, under Content, click Exhibits & Objects.
-
Click the row of the exhibit the animal lives in.
-
Click the animal's name.
TipFor a new animal you never saved, click + Add New Object instead.
-
A bar at the top says “You have unsaved edits from” and the time. Click Restore.
-
Check your changes, then click Save & publish.
Good to know
- No bar means there's nothing to get back. The copy is only in the browser you were using, so another computer, browser or private window won't have it.
- A copy is kept a moment after you stop typing. Below the buttons, Saved on this computer and the time show each time. This isn't the same as Save as draft: visitors and colleagues can't see it until you save.
- A photo you'd chosen but not saved doesn't come back. Choose it again.
- Discard throws the kept copy away for good. Saving the animal clears it too.
- For a new animal, the bar appears when you click + Add New Object in the same exhibit again.
