Download a QR code for a sign.
Making one new sign? You can download its QR code straight from your list of exhibits, for the whole exhibit or for a single animal or object.
Steps
-
In the sidebar, under Content, click Exhibits & Objects.
-
Find the exhibit, and in its QR Code column click Download. The code saves as an SVG picture.
A code for one animal or object
- Click the exhibit's row to open its animals and objects, then click Download in the animal's QR Code column.
- That code opens the animal's fact file, not the exhibit page.
Printing it
- SVG pictures stay sharp at any size, so you can make the code as big as the sign needs.
- Keep the white border round the code when you place it on your sign. Phones need it to read the code.
- Print one test copy and scan it before you print the final sign.
Good to know
- The file is named after the exhibit, for example “Curious-QRCode-2-Otter_Cove.svg”.
- To download every exhibit's code at once, use the QR Codes page.
