Add questions and answers.
Each quiz question has a type, the question itself and its answers. Mix the types to keep a quiz lively.
Steps
-
In the sidebar, under Content, click Quizzes.
-
Click Edit in the quiz's row. Its questions open below the settings.
-
Choose the Question Type first. Each type has its own kind of answer, so changing it clears answers you've already typed (you're asked first).
-
Type the Question.
-
Fill in the answers. For Multiple Choice, type every choice under Options, then click the circle beside the right one.
-
Click + Add Option for more choices. Click × beside a choice to remove it.
-
If you like, add an Explanation. Visitors see it after they answer, such as why the answer is right.
-
To take a question out, click Remove beside its number.
-
Click Save Quiz. You'll see “Quiz updated successfully!”.
Question types
- Multiple Choice: visitors pick one answer from the Options. Click the circle beside the right one.
- True / False: type a statement as the Question, and set Correct Answer to True or False.
- Multiple Select: visitors pick every right answer. Under Options (tick the correct ones), tick the box beside each right one.
- Slider / Range: visitors slide to a number. Set the Correct Answer (number), the slider's Min and Max, its Step, and a Tolerance (±) for answers close enough to count as right.
Good to know
- Every question needs a question, a correct answer and at least two different options. If one isn't finished, the quiz isn't saved: the question is outlined, with a message saying what it still needs.
- Quizzes have up to five questions. Click + Add Question to add one at the bottom; at five it stops working and says “Quizzes have up to 5 questions.”
- A quiz made before the limit can have more than five. Its questions are kept, but visitors play only the first five, and you can't add more.
- Visitors play the questions in the order they're listed.
